Students get active and discover new sports
Students at a Courtenay school discover new sports through SportFit.
SportFit was a fun, interactive tool to get children and youth interested in physical activity through discovering new sports. SportFit enabled participants to discover new ways of being physically active by identifying sports matching each participant's personal preferences and physical abilities.
SportFit also contained a sport directory linking children and youth to sport clubs and facilities in their area, and showcases 78 Olympic and Paralympic sports with multimedia lessons for students and teachers. The program was supported by the Province of British Columbia, Sport Canada and CTV. Visit sportfitcanada.com for more information.
