Developing partnerships to honour Aboriginal sport history
The Aboriginal Sport Gallery opened in Vancouver in June 2008 thanks to a unique partnership of six organizations.
The Aboriginal Sport Gallery, which is housed at the BC Sports Hall of Fame in Vancouver, is a permanent tribute to the unique contributions Aboriginal peoples have made to the sport heritage of BC. The gallery features photographs, artifacts and stories of sport heroes from across the province.
The gallery was created in partnership with the Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Association of BC, BC Sports Hall of Fame, Four Host First Nations, Province of British Columbia and VANOC.
