Nelson Measures Up in Accessibility

Nelson received $15,000 from Measuring Up to conduct a community assessment and develop a training package that will assist employers to provide a supportive and integrated workplace for persons with disabilities. The package will also include information on community resources.

Measuring Up helps communities assess and improve how accessible and inclusive they are for people with disabilities, seniors and others with similar needs. The program includes a fund, established by the Province of British Columbia, which offers grants to communities to complete accessibility-related projects.
