Grand Forks Celebrates Spirit of BC Week 2007

Spirit of BC Week celebrations in Grand Forks featured a reunion for all parents, caregivers and children who attended previous Mother Goose reading programs. The events, which included families from nearby communities, featured a song and rhyme circle, guest story-tellers, children's musicians, cookie decorating, Olympic themed word games, kids' karaoke, a craft table for all ages, and a pictorial historical review of the program. Grand Forks was one of more than 83 communities to celebrate Spirit of BC Week 2007.


Spirit of BC Week is an annual province-wide celebration of British Columbia and its unique communities. Held each February, it is a week of over 300 events and activities showcasing local programs and services that strengthen community arts, literacy, sport, recreation and volunteerism.
